The former Baywatch actress turned animal activist turned Fashion Week scene stealer, 41, flew in from Beirut for the 20th anniversary gala of the Animal Rights Foundation of Florida at the Broward Convention Center Saturday night.

Anderson, who had attended Lebanon’s famed Al Bustan arts festival, did as any sex symbol would do when wiped — piled on the eye liner, mascara and concealer.

She wore a tight gold satin dress, covering up way more than she did recently at Vivienne Westwood’s show at London Fashion Week. A wardrobe malfunction revealed the same part of the anatomy that Janet Jackson did at Super Bowl ‘04. Tee-hee.

Anderson may think it’s amusing to strut about her bod (who could forget her undie baring at Art Basel?) but she’s dead serious about the plight of our hairy relatives. She recently appealed to Gov. Charlie Crist to send apes in Florida’s roadside zoos to accredited sanctuaries.

So what did Pam think about the woman who was mauled by a pet chimp in Connecticut?

”I don’t understand how people can have wild animals in their house,” Anderson said. “It was stupid. Stupid!”

Anderson looks like she’s also getting serious with a new man. Electrician/scuba diver Jamie Padgett escorted her to the gala, and was by her side during Nipplegate in London.

Even at 85, event speaker Bob Barker got equal attention.
