WHEN Pamela Anderson was offered a role in a London pantomime she thought she’d be miming her way through a show.
But it didn’t turn off the actress, who is now preparing to don three red shiny Lycra Baywatch-inspired costumes and chiffon capes encrusted with Swarovski crystals for her spot as Genie of the Lamp in Aladdin.
Pamela, 42, will be treading the boards at New Wimbledon Theatre a little later than expected after putting off her debut shows citing unspecified “issues”.
She told the Daily Express: “I get some really bizarre approaches and when my British-born manager Peter told me I’d been offered a pantomime I thought he meant miming, you know, walking an invisible dog like Marcel Marceau.”
“Once he explained it, it sounded like fun to me.”
She last night made an appearance at the British Comedy Awards, pairing up with designer Vivienne Westwood to present the award for best new British TV comedy.
